| Christmas celebrations begin at the start of December. Most children have an Adventskalender where they open a window or a treat every day before Christmas. The calendar can be a simple paper calendar with a new picture for each day, or one with a chocolate behind each door, to homemade ones that have a small present for each day. Some of the houses in Switzerland are also built and decorated to look like advent calanders |
